My name is Kelly Carpenter. I was born and raised in Southern California where I earned my BA in Visual Arts from Cal State Fullerton. In 2010, we moved to Flagstaff and I’m now living my dream among the pines. Although I knew as a child that I wanted to be an artist, my dream would only be realized after a very long journey. Glass Craft Artistry was born out of my growing fascination of the many ways glass can be manipulated into amazing works of art. Mostly, I love the way light shines through colored glass; painting objects beyond. As much as I love working with glass, designing patterns also calls to me. My work is mostly inspired by nature or facets of nature. Drawing, playing with broken glass and manipulating light… what could be more fun?
