To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Flagstaff Open Studios, there will be a number of new exhibits in addition to “Prelude”, to promote the group and Open Studios.

In April, there will be an exhibit at the Will McNabb Gallery open to all members.

In July there will be an exhibit at Mountain Oasis open to all members.

From July 31 to September 17 there will be an exhibit at Brandy’s which will be open only to FOS participants. Brandy’s will also for the first time, be an official stop on the FOS tour with an FOS participant in attendance, showing and demonstrating their work at this great location. This will be a terrific opportunity for all participants to show their work in many more venues this year. Space is limited

Please contact, executive director, Mike Frankel at (928)522-6969 or acfpres@hotmail.com to participate and sign up for FOS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. This is shaping up to be the ACF’s biggest YEAR of all time so don’t miss out.

The ACF is having its first ever fundraiser, “The Arts Experience” at the Continental Country Club on May 19, 2012 from 5 PM until?

Tickets are only $40.00, and as members, if you sell 6 tickets you will receive your ticket for half price. We also need as many silent auction and raffle items as we can gather. These can be in the form of donation of artwork or lessons from individual members, massages and personal treatments, dinners, and products, from local merchants who wish to promote their businesses to the art community.

A direct link to a donation letter that you can use, will be sent out early next week. Put your thinking caps on and please contact fundraiser committee chair, Carol Rackley at 928-526-6922 or cjrack01@gmail.com. Carol could also use any help you can provide organizing this event and it is a great way to complete your yearly required volunteer service to the ACF.

Funding for the arts has suffered from severe institutional cutbacks since the recession and the ACF is poised to reach new levels with many new projects in the planning stages. These can only be accomplished by securing additional funding sources through direct appeals and events such as this fundraiser. It is hoped you will all step up and help out to the best of your abilities.

And…Don’t forget that the postmark deadline for the 10th Annual City of Flagstaff Recycled Art Exhibit is
March 1. Applications are available right here.
