The Artists’ Marketplace

at the Flagstaff Elks Lodge
2101 N. San Francisco St.

Saturday May 5, 2012

from 10 AM – 4 PM

The Artists’ Coalition of Flagstaff is presenting its bi-annual Artists’ Marketplace on Saturday May 5, 2012 at the Flagstaff Elks Lodge 2101 N. San Francisco St. on Saturday May 5, 2012 from 10 AM to 4 PM.

With over 25 Artists representing all media this is the perfect place to do Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Graduation shopping while supporting local Flagstaff artists. There will be fine art paintings and prints, photography, jewelry, ceramics, glass and fiber works, handmade candles and all manner of fine art for every taste.

This all age event is free to all and there will be refreshments to sustain the shopping experience. For more information call Mike Frankel at 928-522-6969.

The Artists’ Coalition of Flagstaff is presenting its first ever Fundraiser on May 19, 2012 at the Continental Country Club, 2380 North Oakmont Drive from 5 PM to 9 PM.

This fun filled evening will include a Wine & Beer Tasting, Full Buffet, Music from Jazz Dimension III and Julia Dohse, Performance Art by local artist Frederica Hall, Silent and Live Auctions, Raffles and a Grand Prize of a 5 Night Vacation in Puerto Vallarta.

Tickets are $40.00 per person and are on sale at Jim Anderson Jewelers, 2300 Fourth Street, The ACF Gallery, 13 N. San Francisco Street, and Carolyn’s Hair Salon, 8245 Slayton Ranch Road. For more information call Mike Frankel at 928-522-6969.

FLAGSTAFF OPEN STUDIOS AND SPRING MARKETPLACE NEWS

The deadline for both the Flagstaff Open Studios and the Spring Marketplace are in a few short days!

The response for FOS has been incredible. We have additional preview shows this years starting in July so this will insure that the public turn out is bigger than ever!

We are on track for a huge number of artists to celebrate the 15th Anniversary so DON’T BE LEFT OUT!!

There are only a few spots left at the Marketplace and the deadline has been extended to April 30th, so act quickly.

ACF FUNDRAISER MAY 19, 2012

Tickets are still available for the ACF’s first ever fundraiser “The Art Experience” on May 19 at the Continental Country Club.

This is going to be big! With a wine and beer tasting, scrumptious buffet, music and performance art, silent auction, raffles, and A GRAND PRIZE of a 5 NIGHT STAY  IN PUERTO VALLARTA with additional cash to go toward airline tickets! There will be many other prizes and raffle items!! This is going to be a big, fun event! So BE THERE and ENJOY!

For every six tickets that any member sells, they will get a ticket for 1/2 price. ALL unsold tickets and prize stubs need to be returned by MAY 10th.

We also still need artwork, and other items for the fundraiser so get in touch with Carol as soon as you can. The deadline for contributions is MAY 10th and we need your biographies and business cards to include with the display and auction of your work.

SPRING MARKETPLACE DEADLINE EXTENDED

The deadlines for both Flagstaff Open Studios and Spring Marketplace are rapidly approching.
There are only a few spots left at the Marketplace and the deadline has been extended to April 30th, so act quickly.

We want as large a participation as we can for FOS this year since it is the 15th anniversary. In celebration of that fact, there are several additional shows around town which will be promoting the event so a record turn out is expected. There is a meeting of the fundraising committee on Tuesday April 17 6PM, at the Village Inn on the east side of Flagstaff (off of Route 66). All members are invited. The May 19 fundraiser is shaping up to be a huge event and we need help coordinating and planning such a large undertaking. Please attend and do your bit to aid the cause!

VIOLA’S TOMATO FESTIVAL

The folks at Viola’s Flower Garden are holding their annual Tomato Festival the weekend of May 5 & 6. This year they’re adding Art to the festivities! This is an outdoor show in a beautiful location. 10th Annual Recycled Art Exhibit

10th Annual Recycled Art ExhibitThe 10th Annual Recycled Art Exhibit was a hit with over 700 attendees! Circus Bacchus filled the seats and Flagstaff’s very own artists filled the Gallery with art and fans alike.

Also coming are the Recycled Art Workshops & Demonstrations with live art instruction from some of Flagstaff and Northern Arizona’s great artisans. Click here for more info.
